Training & Certification
The Maupin Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD) meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month for training and drills. Anyone who is interested in joining the Department as a firefighter or as support staff is welcome. MVFD is located at 390 3rd St. next to the Public Works Building. Our meetings begin promptly at 6 p.m. See the calendar below for more information.
We will often partner with nearby Fire Departments for training and drills. Visit their webpages for more information about training and events.
The Maupin Volunteer Fire Department is always looking for new volunteers. Anyone who is interested in joining as a volunteer firefighter or as support staff should fill out a MVFD Volunteer Application Form and drop it off at City Hall or stop by City Hall to fill out an application in person. If you have any questions about joining the Department, please contact Christine Wolfe at City Hall or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Burn Permits & Burning in City Limits
A permit is required to burn anywhere in the City of Maupin, and all permits must be issued in person at Maupin’s City Hall. There is no cost for Open Brush or Burn Barrel permits. Residents must follow all the burning rules or risk having their burn permit revoked. View the Burn Permit Rules here.
