Lynn Ewing, Maupin Mayor

Maupin elects a new mayor every two years. The mayor oversees city council and communications as well as general oversight of city operations.

Lynn Ewing was first elected mayor in 2016. Prior to that he had served on the City Council for more than 25 years, including the role of Council President to the last four mayors.

Lynn and his wife, Theresa, moved to Maupin in 1979 and raised their four children here. Lynn taught for 37 years, primarily in The Dalles, before retiring and being appointed Mayor in July of 2016. He taught in elementary classrooms before moving into technology where he taught students from kindergarten through community college for the last 22 years of his career. Theresa was the Technology Coordinator for the South Wasco County School District before retiring in 2018.

Request for Funds Donated by the City of Maupin

The City of Maupin recognizes the services and benefits provided by local charitable organizations and is proud to contribute to those charities. Find the application (Google Form) to request funds here.
For budgetary reasons, we would like all requests for funds to be made to the city no later than February 15 of each year. If you have received funds from the City in the past, we need to have an annual report of how those funds were used. If you need a hard copy of this form, a PDF can be emailed to you or you can pick up a hard copy at City Hall.
