Payment Drop

A secure payment drop is installed at the Civic Center. It is next to the ADA ramp on the Grant Avenue side of the building. We can accept payments for the City of Maupin, Wasco Electric, or The Dalles Disposal.

We’ve made some improvements to the City of Maupin water and sewer billing and payment processes! There are now more options for receiving and paying your water and sewer bill, including emailed invoices and automatic bill payments. If you have any questions, please call us or stop by the City Hall front desk. Please note: If you have multiple water and sewer accounts, you will need to make separate accounts in the portal. Any changes you make to your account(s) will be reflected in the next billing cycle.

Options for Paying Your Bill

If you have trouble paying your bill, please reach out to us at City Hall. You can also contact Mid Columbia Community Action Council (MCCAC) in The Dalles, a nonprofit organization that helps residents in Wasco County with unpaid utility bills, including water, sewer, and electric.

Online Account Portal

You can pay your bill with a credit card or ACH transfer anytime through the new secure payment portal found at the link above. A 2.9% fee plus $0.30 will be charged in addition to your bill if you use a credit card, and $1.50 will be charged for ACH transfers. You can also enroll in automatic bill pay at any time.

Check, cash, or credit card at the City Hall front desk

You can always pay your bill with a check, cash, or credit card in-person at the City Hall front desk during our open hours. If you use a credit card, a 2.9% fee plus $0.30 will be charged in addition to your bill.

Check through secure payment drop

You can drop off your check payment in the secure drop box located on the ADA ramp on the Grant Avenue side of the Civic Center. The drop box is open 24-hours a day, and your payment will be processed within one week.

Bill pay through your bank

Many customers choose to pay their bill through their bank’s bill payment feature, and that option is still available.

Mid Columbia Community Action Council

MCCAC offers a variety of services to low-income families and individuals that reside in Hood River, Wasco or Sherman Counties. Programs include: Household Utility Assistance; Weatherization Services; Utility Education classes; Shelter & Transition Services; Houseless/Housing assistance to prevent eviction; Senior and low-income Discount Programs; Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program.

Maupin Spring & Fall Clean-Up Days

The City of Maupin hosts a Spring Clean-Up and a Fall Clean-Up each year for residents to dispose of their non-hazardous household junk and yard waste for free. Look for a flyer in the monthly utility statement mailing and find more information about the events in our Public Notices.

Hazardous Waste

Tri-County Waste & Recycle hosts hazardous waste clean-up events throughout Wasco County multiple times a year. The hazardous waste clean-up event in Maupin usually happens each spring. Visit Tri-County Waste & Recycle’s event calendar for more information.
